Kateryna Kostyk
Kateryna Kostyk was born in 2002 and works in Uzhhorod. She draws in graphite and charcoal, and her Village series comes from ordinary life. A grandmother milking a cow. Kittens asleep in a basket. Two cockerels settling an argument in a barn doorway. What she draws is life beyond the filtered, idealised images of social media. It is a life shaped by a deep connection with nature, and by gratitude for small but meaningful moments. She has exhibited in Ukraine and abroad, and her work is held in private collections in Ukraine, Slovakia, Italy, Germany and the United States.
